Barcelona Day Two
Or follow the arrow?
The plan for today was to walk down to the harbour area and then catch a cable car up to the olympic area.
We walked down to the end of Las Ramblas where they had a statue of Christopher Columbus. This is where he sailed to after "discovering" the new world to tell everyone what he had found.
After that we walked around the marina area which was full of all these cool boats. We then headed for the beach which, in Peters words, was Breastacular....
After a quick bite to eat we headed to the cable car for the trip over to the Olympic area. After a wait of over an hour we finally got onto the cable car!
The area was pretty funky, but I could not remember all that much. It was nice to see the cauldron where the archer shot the arrow to light the flame though.
We caught the train back to the hostel for a bit of a break before heading out to dinner. After that we tried to head to some of the nightclubs in the Marina area, but the bridge was closed so we had to settle for an Australian Pub called Hogans to drink the night away in!
